Statement

Karim’s work is based on the concept of chaos as a balance of material transformation. With this in mind, he uses unconventional techniques and resources to create a harmony of form together with an aggressive and chaotic aesthetic. The development of his art work relates on the studies of the great school of Abstract-Expressionism, his goal as a visual artist is to carry this on and bring a contemporain and fresh look to the viewer of a non-objective painting and sculpture. Besides this reference it refers to the beginning, combining the ultimate source that characterizes and relates to the beliefs, values, behavior and material objects that constitute a people’s way of life.
He desires to move away from the ideal for art as the vivid portrayal of things. For him , art encompasses all the questions and answers of our chaotic universe.
